Dutch real-estate site funda.nl has a nice and simple way of editing and removing filter criteria.

When searching for houses in a particular city or neighbourhood, the website uses a neat AJAX dropdown on the filters on the top of the search result, allowing the user to switch neighbourhoods very easily. See also the video below. [...]
